Algonquin Park's best known (and loved) fox, "the old man", resting in the snow. Easily recognizable due to his bold nature and the distinctive pink markings on his nose. This year, a nearby wildlife sanctuary is hoping to be able to trap and treat him, due to reports that he has an injured leg and mange. We were told last winter that he was at least 12 years old, well beyond the expected lifespan of 2-5 years.
