A sunset in the Canadian Rockies, from behind our campsite in the Two Jack Lakeside Campground in Banff National Park.

While I was out on the grassy verge taking these photos, cars kept going by and honking their horns at me. "Everyone is so friendly here", I thought. Well, the following evening, a big grizzly bear passed right by the campground gates, which were just about 100 metres around the bend where I had been standing! That's when I realized those cars honking the night before had probably been trying to warn me about the bear!

Tracy Munson is a blue-haired, wine-drinking, nature-loving, bunny-hugging, Canadian Landscape and Animal Photographer. While living in Toronto, Tracy took every opportunity to escape the city and her rewarding but stressful job in one of the country's largest Animal Shelters. For many years, she traveled around Canada in a tiny car, with a large man, a tent, and two chihuahuas. After seeing it all, Atlantic Canada kept drawing her back and in 2018 she escaped city life for good, relocating to the beautiful Bay of Fundy region of New Brunswick to pursue photography full-time.
