Description
A summer sunset at the Anderson Hollow Lighthouse on Shepody Bay in New Brunswick.
Built in 1903, this decommissioned lighthouse has been moved several times in the past century, from its original location at Waterside Beach. Storms and hurricanes had damaged or destroyed the lighthouse and it was rebuilt a couple of times before this structure was replaced with a fixed constant light at the end of a wharf.
The lighthouse was moved up from the beach in 1949, then moved again into Riverside-Albert during the 1980s. In 2001, it was moved to its current location, in the Shipyards Park, across from the Shepody dam.
